I have been giving drum lessons to friends and family for over 30 years and have decided to dedicate my full time to teaching. I have been a lecturer in engineering and hold a DBS.
My first gig was in 1972 in a band playing pop music around all the local pubs, I myself had drum lessons from Hayden Cook who was the drummer with The Solent All Stars.
From 1977 I played in a Punk Rock band called the Mirrors, having our music played in the Roxy in London and almost clinching a record deal with Plastic Fantastic.
Moving into the 80s I played in both Roads End a function band and Agnes Strange a Blues Rock Band who had released a single and an album Strange Brew.
My best gig was playing drums for Barbara Winsor in a local club when she was in Worzel Gummidge
Since then I have played in local bands such as The Intruders and Southlands.
I am willing to teach all ages and all abilities from basic drum beats through to students wishing to learn advanced techniques.
I can offer home tuition for students that have their own drum kit or the use of either my Roland electric kit or my acoustic Ludwick kit.
I can also offer advise on drum kit set ups and tuning
